#5829 - Matchbox - Volkswagen - Golf Mk1 Taxi

Reference Matchbox ( Great Britain ) : 7C BM

Superfast - Matchbox

Item with box - "blister-pack" type

Model status: 5.0

Very interesting product! The casting. The VW Golf was released by Matchbox under reference MB7-C in 1976, originally in green, with a pair of surfboards on the roof rack. The casting saw many shades of green over five years, and the roof rack was slightly redesigned in 1977 to better hold the surfboards, as they easily came loose and were lost. This red "TAXI" version with a checkered stripe is a later livery, typical of re-releases from the second half of the 1980s. The orange-yellow blister with the "flaming car" logo corresponds to this period (mid-to-late 1980s). This is often a release intended for the European/German market (the taxi). It's a nice variation and a bit rarer than the green Golf with surfboards.

  • Our models

Auto Jaune Junior offers vintage toys, accessories, documents, and other spare parts that may show slight signs of wear, dirt, or missing pieces. We take great care in describing each item to accurately reflect its condition and make it a point to note any major defects or peculiarities (repainted models, paint touch-ups, crude modifications, inaccurate decals, non-original boxes, etc.).

  • The descriptions

However, the quality and accuracy of our description may sometimes be proportional to the value of the model: for lower-priced models, the description may be more concise. Nevertheless, each product for sale is photographed from three angles; and we have implemented the ability to zoom in on the photos (by clicking on them) to allow you to examine the product in detail.
that's only if you had it in your own hands.

  • Our tools

We therefore invite you to use these various tools to carefully examine the characteristics of the models that interest you. Consequently, even if they are not mentioned in the textual description of the model, all types of defects (chips, scratches, deformations, retouching, or non-original repairs) that may be visible in the photos cannot be used as valid grounds for canceling an order.

  • Our policy

However, rest assured! Auto Jaune Junior maintains the values established by Vincent Espinasse, whose shop has been in business for over 40 years! We remain open to all feedback and flexible. Our goal remains the same: to allow you to acquire authentic models at fair prices, while sharing our passion for vintage miniatures.
