Nous sommes au milieu des années 70. Tootsietoy existe encore ! Ses productions ont bien évoluée ! Ce Van reproduisant un Chevy Blazer est équipé de jantes en plastique noir avec des pneus en plastique Ce modèle appartient à la série « 4×4 Off Road » que Tootsietoy a produite à la fin des années 1970 et au début des années 1980, qui répondait à la concurrence des Matchbox, Hot Wheels et Majorette en surfant sur l'engouement pour les 4×4 et le « van/off-road » très présent dans la culture populaire américaine de la fin des années 70. Tootsietoy se positionnait sur le segment économique — des jouets vendus quelques cents à un dollar, plus rustiques que les Matchbox mais robustes. Carrosserie en zamac moulé. Pare-chocs, calandre; treuil/barre et châssis visible en plastique chromé, avec vitrage et intérieur en plastique. Tous les ingrédients sont réunis : c'est le jouet de bazar américain typique du milieu des années 70" !
