First series model equipped with original white zamac wheels and lugged tires. Beautiful vehicle! Second type of trailer (with removable sheet metal panels) Good paint quality. We note the presence of some chips.

But we appreciate the period price tag...from Autojaune! 390 Fr! That was when my father went to the United States once a year. He bought this model in 1998. So it's been in the store for almost 30 years!

Winross was founded in the Rochester area of New York State by Roger and Phyllis Austin around 1963. The company's motto was "Made with pride in the USA" and it was based in Churchville, just west of Rochester. The starting point was the founder's personal hobby: he first made these trucks as "toys," sold on the American toy market, before eventually abandoning this market to focus strictly on promotional models. The company became known for originally reproducing White brand trucks, then becoming the pioneer of 1/64 scale promotional semi-trailers (approximately 9 inches long), at a time when this type of model was more commonly manufactured in Europe. Its major historical client was the Howard Johnson's restaurant chain, which sold small Winross trucks at its gift counters and bought more than 750,000 of them over the years
