Ce bus Greyhound « Silversides » en aluminium coulé a été produit par ERTL (Dubuque, Iowa) à la fin des années 1940 – début 1950, à l'époque où la firme ( futur géant du jouet agricole ) débutait avec des promotionnels en aluminium. Il reproduit l'autocar GM « Silversides » (PD-3751), premier autocar diesel moderne dévoilé en 1939. Ce bus a été presque exclusivement été produit poura fameuse firme de transport Greyhound, célèbre pour son logo avec ce lévrier bondissant. Notre modèle a été produit après guerre. Il est équipé de ses roues d'origines en caoutchouc. L'exemplaire est complet et d'origine, avec pour seuls défaut notable celui d'avoir été un jouet ! La peinture de toit est écaillée. Il reste quelques traces du décalque, mais on ne peut pas dire qu'il soit entier Mais il faut apprécier cet objet; coulé en aluminium; dans son ensemble; et tout ce qu'il représente. De plus, le choix de l'échelle 1/43e en fait un jouet impressionnantest . C'est un objet peu courant. Et mon père en a fait un blog.
