Right after the war, the small Studebaker from South Bend brought a distinctly American silhouette to the French landscape. It was precisely for this transatlantic allure that Meccano made it, alongside the Ford, one of the pioneers of its 25 series. The principle is clever: one cabin; several beds.

Based on this, the market gardener with open stake sides was born, whose cabin color would always be different from that of the sides....and our 25L furniture van, for which cabins and sides would receive an identical color. The tarpaulins and wheels would add the two-tone touch.

The model presented here corresponds to type 3, and is equipped with cast and painted yellow zamac wheels (yellow convex hubs), which gives it, with its red body, a very harmonious color combination!

We appreciate the presence of two original smooth black tires on the front wheels...but it seems that the collector preferred to add notched tires to the rear axle.

The model has some chips, and the rear hook is missing. But how can one not appreciate this type of object when it is offered to you entirely original?

And to top it off, obtaining this piece will be an opportunity for you to start searching for the missing tarpaulin. A dream opportunity to scour flea markets; or monitor publications from AutoJaune Junior!

Let's not forget that with its tarpaulin and in new condition, this type of item sells for several hundred euros. Now look at the price at which we offer our copy…. This is what is called: "Good value for money".
