Black plastic monoblock wheels with chrome trim. The model we are offering here is in good condition, although a little cleaning wouldn't hurt to restore its former glory! As a side note, this famous Mercedes C111 seems to be the car that has been reproduced by the greatest number of different toy manufacturers! In our case, it's Matchbox, which, in the 1970s, having been acquired by Lesney, commissioned them to produce a series of 1/43 scale Zamac models to compete with other diecast manufacturers. Naturally, as was the trend at the time, this series was equipped with high-speed wheels, the famous "needle axles." The change in scale and the addition of high-speed wheels gave the range its name: "Speed ​​King." The model offered here was produced in 1973. The children who owned this model back then now form a new generation of collectors.
