Description: Be careful, this model is very interesting! Indeed, released in 1958, this Riley was the first "Police" type vehicle produced by Corgi! I think this model is full of charm. We can only appreciate the effort made by the Swansea firm to reproduce this police beacon integrating siren AND loudspeaker! The lines of this model are elegant, which makes the whole very charming and is a typical marker of the transition between the 50s and the 60s. We will regret that the antenna of the model presented here was broken... so plan a small 'model making' session to correct this defect... It will keep you busy! There is also a small friction mark on the front right door. For the rest, everything is perfect: very beautiful thick paint, the model is entirely original, first type chromed steel rims, no cracks on the windows. The police decal is intact. A small anecdote, we will notice that the merchant who sold the model to the collector from whom I acquired it had marked "rare" on the label and displayed a selling price of 100 Fr, (which, at the time, still represented a certain sum). Honestly, this model is not specifically rare. But it must be admitted that it is full of charm, atypical, and simply beautiful. And above all, at the asking price, I almost want to say that it is even more beautiful!
