Description: This model is a beautiful Corgi from the early 70s, corresponding to the launch of the Whizwheels series. It represents the real Italian Iso Griffo, but powered by a huge 7-liter Chevrolet V8! A perfect balance between Italian charm and elegance coupled with assumed and excessive American power! As usual, Corgi wanted to pull out all the stops! Opening doors and hood (with detailed, chrome, and black engine); double "jeweled" headlights, detailed interior. And those famous fast wheels, new standards at the time. However, this model disappeared from the catalog in 1973. It therefore had a rather ephemeral production life, which makes it uncommon. The model is always metallic blue; but the interior can be cream or light blue. Similarly, on the first versions, a natural silver trim highlights the rear part of the roof. A small peculiarity of our model: the collector had fun repainting the opening hood blue (initially black); and added 4 decals to make it a rally version. This was done neatly. Even if it's not original....Let's consider that this creates an interesting variant! The model is functional, the 3 opening parts work well, and the two seats also fold down well. The chrome on the front and rear bumpers is impeccable. In short, it's a beautiful piece, and we offer it to you here at a small price!
