By pressing the button at the front, the entire body lifts, exposing the engine, chassis, and driver. And, having tested the mechanism, I can tell you that the effect is impressive! Corgi Toys' design office must have pulled some all-nighters! This model would mark the beginning of a new era. Indeed, this is a "fantasy" model. This Ford Capri transformed into a Dragster is not at all realistic! We are here in the world of tuning and Drag Racing. Corgi had already created the Wizzwheels range (project study from 1969; commercial launch in 1970), with the aim of competing with Hot Wheels and Matchbox Superfast, which had gained a head start by launching their ranges in 1968.
