Description: The Simca Versailles 24Z is part of the famous Dinky Toys France 24 series. It represents the high-end sedan Simca Vedette Versailles, an iconic model of the French automotive industry from the mid-1950s. The miniature was produced from 1956 to 1959. As often was the case with Dinky France in the 1950s, several two-tone combinations exist: Yellow / black; Light blue / white; Grey / blue; Cream / blue. The 24Z is interesting for several reasons: It belongs to the transitional period when Dinky France began to reproduce modern large French sedans; It is contemporary with other popular Vedette models such as the Chambord and Beaulieu; and the variations in shades and rims give rise to a true specialized collection. Our model is equipped with a light blue body; a cream / ivory roof; a black chassis; convex chrome zamac rims and its original white tires. No zamac fatigue. This version corresponds to a production around 1956-1957, i.e., the first years of manufacturing of the 24Z reference.
