Reference Buccaneer ( Great Britain ) : 0
Single item -
Model status: 5.0
Description: Around 1975, Brian Harvey, a British collector, was scandalized by the exorbitant prices reached by early Dinky Toys ("Modelled Miniatures") on the collector's market. He decided to retaliate by creating a new series of white metal models, replicas of these old Dinky Toys, which he called Buccaneer Models (buccaneer = pirate, indeed, the name is deliberately provocative). These models were sold both as assembly kits and as already built and painted models. The patterns and master molds were made by Colin Flannery. Brian Harvey obtained permission from Meccano — owner of Dinky Toys at the time — to produce white metal copies of classic Dinky Toys from the 30 series. Around 1975, Buccaneer reproduced in white metal several models from the 39 Dinky Toys series: the 1937 Buick Viceroy Taxi (based on the 39d), the 1937 Packard (based on the 39a), the 1937 Chrysler Royal (based on the 39e), and the 1937 Oldsmobile (based on the 39b). These models were initially delivered in a simple plastic bag. Buccaneer also copied the Dinky Chrysler Airflow......And also the 29b Streamline Bus "Holland Coachcraft" which we offer here, and which is in superb condition!

Our models
Auto Jaune Junior offers vintage toys, accessories, documents, and other spare parts that may show slight signs of wear, dirt, or missing pieces. We take great care in describing each item to accurately reflect its condition and make it a point to note any major defects or peculiarities (repainted models, paint touch-ups, crude modifications, inaccurate decals, non-original boxes, etc.).
-
The descriptions
However, the quality and accuracy of our description may sometimes be proportional to the value of the model: for lower-priced models, the description may be more concise. Nevertheless, each product for sale is photographed from three angles; and we have implemented the ability to zoom in on the photos (by clicking on them) to allow you to examine the product in detail.
that's only if you had it in your own hands. -
Our tools
We therefore invite you to use these various tools to carefully examine the characteristics of the models that interest you. Consequently, even if they are not mentioned in the textual description of the model, all types of defects (chips, scratches, deformations, retouching, or non-original repairs) that may be visible in the photos cannot be used as valid grounds for canceling an order.

Our policy
However, rest assured! Auto Jaune Junior maintains the values established by Vincent Espinasse, whose shop has been in business for over 40 years! We remain open to all feedback and flexible. Our goal remains the same: to allow you to acquire authentic models at fair prices, while sharing our passion for vintage miniatures.
