Description: What a beautiful model! The Lancia D24 is one of the most famous Italian sports cars of the 1950s. It was designed by engineer Vittorio Jano to compete in major international road and endurance races. It notably won the Carrera Panamericana in 1953 in Mexico, driven by Juan Manuel Fangio... wearing the number 36! Mercury produced this model starting in 1954, precisely to capitalize on Fangio's victory in 1953. The miniature was produced until 1959. The version we offer is surely from the very beginning of production, as it bears the number 36. The model is superb: shiny chrome-plated steel wheels, presence of the steering wheel, silver-painted chassis, beautiful paint quality (glossy); model in excellent condition, including the dark blue racing bucket numbers. There are multiple color variations! At this price, take advantage of this opportunity to collect them! Finally, we appreciate this beautiful box. Only one flap is missing, but it is very well shaped and the presence of some discreet wear on the edges does not detract from its charm. This box is rare!
