Description: The model we are presenting to you here is quite particular. Despite its appearance, it does not seem to have been repainted. There is no doubt that the collector (or child) at the time tried to alter the hue. They most likely rubbed this model with a cloth, a soft brush, or a slightly abrasive product in an attempt to "clean" it or restore its shine. This had two effects: slightly altering the luster of the original paint (giving it that somewhat unusual "brushed metal" look), and — above all — abrading the silvering on the raised parts (bumpers, headlights, grille), which are the most prominent areas and therefore the most exposed to friction. It seems they tried to rub the varnish. No need to comment, everything is visible in the photos. That being said, let's now highlight all the qualities of this model! It is obviously one of Dinky Toys' legendary models! For collectors like my father or Mr. Gougeon, this is the model they enjoy trying to gather as many color variations as possible! I once amused myself by telling Mr. Gougeon that his goal should be to gather 203 different ones! Perhaps it was this challenge that prompted the person who owned this model to try and alter its hue. Note that this is a true type 1. The roof is smooth. There is a radiator cap on the right fender. As well as the small bulge above the left rear bumper, which was intended to simulate a brake light. And of course, its small rear window. In short, it is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after variants; it was manufactured from 1951 until 1952. From 1953, we see the disappearance of the cap and the taillight, then in 1954, the checkered roof appeared. And from 1956, there would be a large rear window and a square fuel flap.
