Description: A very beautiful small model from the company France Jouet; a company originally called "France Jouet Mécaniques", founded in Marseille just after the war. This GAK Cement Mixer truck accurately reproduces the real Berliet; which was a truck commonly seen on construction sites and public works in the 1960s-70s. It should be noted that, among all the variations of the GAK produced by France Jouet, this cement mixer is one of the less common ones! The miniature version was manufactured in the early 60s, and it is equipped with a mechanism for orienting the mixer. The mechanism is functional. The model is complete; and we appreciate the presence of the driver and his co-driver; as well as raw zamac rims, characteristic of the first versions, all equipped with original white ribbed tires. However, the spare wheel tire is missing. The presence of windows indicates that it is an intermediate version. I find France Jouet's productions full of charm. What audacity and intelligence! They dared! By choosing this scale, FJ was able to specialize in the production of trucks and utility vehicles while allowing children to still be able to put the toy in their jacket or pants pocket! This way, they could easily take it to school and take it out during recess!
