Standalone item -
Model status: 4.8
Description: The Panhard Movic and its "SNCF" tarpaulin semi-trailer is one of the most iconic road sets in the Dinky Toys France catalog. Marketed from 1952 to 1959 under reference 32 AB: this first version will have a smooth roof. In addition, the rear axle spacer of the trailer will be flattened and unmarked. With its checkered roof version and the reinforced V-shaped rear axle spacer. From 1956, the roof will now be checkered; and the SNCF logo will be affixed on a plain green background. It was in 1959 / 1960 that reference 575 appeared. It was also during this period that the version that concerns us here appeared, the one with a checkered green background under the SNCF logo. Two years later, in 1962, the ultimate version with concave rims will now be produced. It is cast in zamac with a sheet metal semi-trailer tarpaulin. The real vehicle is the two-axle Panhard "Movic" tractor coupled to a tarpaulin semi-trailer in the colors of the Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français — an emblematic coupling for rail-road transport in the 1950s. The rims are molded convex zamac, painted navy blue (navy convex hubs), with smooth black tires; grille and headlights highlighted in silver. The model offered here is in superb condition: thick and shiny paint. Superb silvering. Complete, original, like new! Even its sheet metal tarpaulin "Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français / SNCF", seems to have come out of the factory with its clean pad printing. Sold without box. A great Dinky Toys France classic from the 1950s. Low price!

The descriptions
However, the quality and accuracy of our description may sometimes be proportional to the value of the model: for lower-priced models, the description may be more concise.
