Description: This Dinky Supertoys n°622 “10 Ton Army Truck” was produced in England by Meccano Ltd. between 1954 and 1963/65. This represents a very long production period. It is part of the extensive series of Dinky Supertoys military vehicles that marked the brand's golden age. Despite the generic name "10 Ton Army Truck," the reproduced vehicle is inspired by a British military truck of the Foden type, a manufacturer renowned for its heavy goods vehicles and post-war military vehicles. Dinky frequently used generic names for its military models, but the cab is clearly derived from Foden trucks of the era, which were widely used by the British army in the 1950s for transporting equipment, troops, and supplies. Their robustness and load capacity made them particularly popular vehicles. The n°622 appeared in 1954 in the Supertoys range. It is molded in zamak and painted in dark army green. The standard version is equipped with a molded driver, a removable sheet metal tarpaulin, zamak rims painted khaki on early productions, and a chassis bearing the inscription "Dinky Supertoys 10 Ton Army Truck." Our model has a dark shade, painted khaki zamak rims, and a chassis that confirm a relatively old production from the series. It corresponds to the very second version released around 1955. The very first version had a completely smooth roof and no driver. This version is extremely rare. We obviously regret the absence of the tarpaulin… But this is why we offer it to you at a low price. Furthermore, as Auto Jaune junior specializes in selling spare parts, we will endeavor to find one for you! To conclude, let's specify that this is an entirely original model, with a beautiful thick paint finish. Take advantage of this little
