Description: Replicating a DAF city bus, this "Citybus" is a success! An integral low-access body, typical of Dutch public transport networks in the 1960s. It was precisely this spectacular size that made it a choice piece for the Lion Toys firm, entirely dedicated to the national manufacturer DAF, when it added it to its catalog under reference 38 from 1967. The miniature seduces with its detailed interior fittings and its complete glazing, which give this large bus its full presence. A technical detail also makes it possible to date it precisely: this very first series from 1967 is recognizable by its all-zamac wheels (red hubs), later versions having adopted plastic wheels. The Citybus then had a successful career, declined in multiple liveries — a first yellow series, a blue "Remia" advertising version, as well as various combinations in the colors of the networks. The model we are offering for sale has an elegant red livery with a white roof and gray sills; it rolls on its red-painted zamac wheels (red hubs) fitted with black treaded tires.
