Description: An incredible item! This bus was made in Spain by a small toy manufacturer: Ober Toys. It was manufactured in the late 70s, early 80s. It is made of lithographed tinplate for the body, and plastic for the window parts. The chassis is plastic. The one-piece wheels, equipped with a friction system, are fully functional. The roof hatch opens. To top it all off, we appreciate the presence of schoolchildren in this school bus! The design of the characters is clearly inspired by Playmobil. The toy manufacturer seems to have pulled out all the stops by decorating its bus with numerous fictitious advertisements, such as one for a color TV, a travel agency, and even a soft drink. On the back, there's a map of a city and a bus number corresponding to number five. Finally, the icing on the cake, a mechanical system has been implemented: The schoolchild at the back spins when the bus moves forward with the friction mechanism!!! To top it all off, the model is offered here with its complete and well-preserved original box. It seems to have been clearly intended for the foreign market, as the descriptions on the box are translated into both English and French on the sides. To conclude, you won't soon come across this toy again, which represents a turning point! Indeed, it embodies the spirit of 60s tinplate, cleverly mixed with the innovations of the 80s. It's an amazing blend!
