Description: It's the late 1970s, and Corgi is going through a difficult period. Competition from Matchbox, Hot Wheels, and Majorette forces the brand to offer models that are cheaper to produce. This leads to the emergence of simplified miniatures, often futuristic or generic in style, very different from the faithful reproductions that had made Corgi Toys famous in the 1950s-1970s. In 1977, "Corgi Club" was born. This brand was used on some of Corgi's later productions aimed at a more economic segment, often distributed in clubs, assortments, or specific sales channels in the late 1970s and early 1980s. These models frequently featured simplified bodies, plastic chassis, and fast wheels, with generic Police and Fire Service decorations. To identify this model, some collectors refer to it as the LTD LX R5000. But in reality, the silhouette reminds me more of a generic futuristic concept car designed for play than a reproduction of an existing automobile. The model is in superb condition and offered at a very low price!
