There's a genuine effort from the Swedish manufacturer to try and make the toy both simplistic, yet colorful and detailed! BRIO is a Swedish company founded in Osby in 1884. Originally specializing in wooden objects, it became one of the largest manufacturers of Scandinavian toys. Its name comes from "Bröderna Ivarsson Osby" (the Ivarsson brothers of Osby). Today, BRIO is best known for its wooden trains, but in the 1950s and 1960s, the company also produced a whole range of painted wooden vehicles: cars, trucks, pull-along animals, motorcycles, and sidecars. The most famous model is this wooden motorcycle with a sidecar, featuring a red body, a yellow tank, a brown seat, wooden wheels with rubber rims, and a "Made in Sweden" stamp under the chassis. These items were manufactured around 1950. They are very rare to come across. The model we offer has some signs of age, which is inevitable, but we appreciate the overall appearance, which is very good. You won't see another one like it anytime soon!
