Description: In 1951, Magirus-Deutz made a splash with a completely new spherical-nosed truck, quickly nicknamed the "Rundhauber" (round-hood): a silhouette made possible by the air-cooled Deutz engine, without a front water radiator, which durably distinguished the Ulm brand from its competitors. It is this icon of post-war German heavy trucks that Conrad, a specialist in precision models for adult collectors, has reproduced at 1/50 scale as a flatbed truck with drop sides: light blue cab and flatbed, dark chassis, grille embossed with the Magirus logo, black plastic rims and black rubber tires. The careful engraving and neat assembly live up to the brand's reputation. The offered item is complete and well-preserved, delivered in its Conrad "Präzision in Zink / High quality scale model / Maßstabsmodell – Modèle à l'échelle" grey box; the classic packaging of the 1980s. A beautiful evocation of the round-hood truck, ideal for display — a must-have!
