Description: Indestructible and ubiquitous on construction sites, the short-cab MAN (Maschinenfabrik Augsburg-Nürnberg) "Kurzhauber" was one of the most enduring work trucks in German industry, produced for decades and exported worldwide. In its three-axle (6x4) 26.240 version, it hauled rubble and materials in its tilting trough-shaped dump body, made by the renowned bodybuilder Meiller. It is this robust utility vehicle that Conrad, a German master craftsman based in Kalchreuth, specializing in precision models for adult collectors and professionals – his boxes remind us that it is not a toy – has reproduced at 1/50 scale: blue cab and dump body on a red chassis, a truly operable tilting dump body, red plastic wheels (red hubs), and ribbed black rubber tires (treaded black rubber tires) in dual mounting at the rear. The engraving and assembly live up to the brand's reputation. The presented model is complete and well-maintained, displayed in its "Conrad Collection" box – a recent edition of this mold. A beautiful construction model for the display case, a must-have!
