Item with its box - of the individual cardboard box type (4 sides, 4 flaps, 2 tabs)

Model status: 4.8

The 1953 Studebaker Commander Starliner Coupé is considered one of the most beautiful American cars of the 1950s. Designed under the direction of Raymond Loewy, with stylists Robert Bourke and Bob Andrews, it stands out for its very low roof, vast glazed surface, and exceptionally modern lines. Produced from 1953 to 1955, the Starliner greatly contributed to Studebaker's revitalization against the major Detroit manufacturers. It is precisely this type of American classic that Brooklin Models aims to bring back to life. Founded in the mid-1970s in the small town of Brooklin, Ontario—hence its name—before moving to England, the firm specialized in 1/43rd scale hand-built white metal models, conceived from the outset for adult collectors and display cases. Each piece is assembled and finished by hand, with simulated chrome applied one by one, and a heavy chassis: the complete opposite of a mass-produced toy.
