Description: In 1947, the Cadillac Series 62 turned a page: it was the last year for its rounded, post-war silhouette with the egg-crate grille, just before the revolution of fins in 1948. The convertible was the most spectacular version, making it an iconic American classic of this stylistic turning point — exactly the kind of automobile that Brooklin Models loves to reproduce. The Bath firm integrated it into its Brooklin Collection under reference BRK 74, under license from General Motors, starting in December 1998: a model hand-cast in white metal and individually painted, designed from the outset for the enthusiast's display case. The workshop's expertise is evident in a host of details: blackened egg-crate grille, winged hood mascot, rocker panel moldings, Cadillac emblem on the trunk, painted full disc wheel covers, whitewall tires, and an interior treated in various shades of green. Produced in small series, it was removed from the catalog in January 2005 and coexisted with other Series 62 variants (notably the Sedanet and four-door sedans). The example offered is a superb dark green convertible: shiny paint, crisp chrome, complete interior, all on its whitewall wheels. Sold with its "Brooklin Collection" box, it is a beautiful 1/43 scale collector's item. At this price, why miss out?
