#2437 - Brooklin - Studebaker - "Burma Shave" Panel Van 1935 - (2nd version with red running boards)
Reference Brooklyn ( Great Britain ) : BRK #16
Item with its box - of the individual cardboard box type (4 sides, 4 flaps, 2 tabs)
Model status: 4.8
The BRK-16 reference reproduces the 1935 Dodge in a "step-roof" delivery van version (stepped/raised roof at the rear). 1935 marked the arrival of the first aerodynamic lines in American automotive design, illustrated by the grille and windshield angled backward. The chrome grille shell with a "charging ram" mascot was an option in 1935, and it is featured on the Brooklin model. Made to 1/43 scale, it presents the typical characteristics of Brooklin production: white metal construction, handcrafted finish, significant weight, robust engraving, and attention to preserving the original shapes.
The BRK 16 appeared in 1982 as the 4th model of the C.T.C.S., with two standard versions — the first in Burma Shave livery (a famous American shaving cream), the second in City Ice — and over 50 variants. It is one of the range's major "livery carriers" (Coca-Cola, Dr Pepper, Sears, fire department, clubs…).
Founded in England in the early 1970s, Brooklin Models specialized in the handcrafted reproduction of American and British vehicles rarely produced by major industrial manufacturers. The brand has built a solid reputation among collectors thanks to its limited-edition white metal miniatures, prioritizing historical accuracy over technical sophistication. Today, this reference is among Brooklin Models' classic productions and perfectly illustrates the brand's philosophy: to introduce collectors to historical automobiles rarely represented in miniature. It also serves as a faithful testament to the golden age of American automobiles preceding World War II.

The descriptions
However, the quality and accuracy of our description may sometimes be proportional to the value of the model: for lower-priced models, the description may be more concise.
