Description: Produced from 1939, the Buick Century belongs to the upper range of the American manufacturer Buick, then a subsidiary of General Motors. Positioned between the Special and Roadmaster models, it stands out for combining a relatively light body with the brand's powerful eight-cylinder engine. This formula allowed it to offer remarkable performance for its time, which explains the choice of the name "Century," referencing its ability to reach 100 miles per hour. The 1939 models also marked Buick's entry into a new generation of more modern and aerodynamic body styles, characteristic of pre-war American automobiles. Founded in England in the early 1970s, Brooklyn Models specialized in the handcrafted reproduction of American and British vehicles rarely covered by major industrial manufacturers. The brand has built a solid reputation among collectors thanks to its limited-edition white metal miniatures, prioritizing historical accuracy over technical sophistication. Reference BC 007 reproduces the 1939 Buick Century Four-Door Sedan. Produced at a scale of 1/43, it displays the typical characteristics of Brooklyn's production: white metal manufacturing, handcrafted finish, significant weight, robust engraving, and attention to respecting the original shapes. The Black version particularly highlights the elegant lines of this large American sedan from the late 1930s, with its long vertical grille, sweeping fenders, and typical pre-war proportions. Today, this reference is among Brooklyn Models' classic productions and perfectly illustrates the brand's philosophy: to introduce collectors to historical automobiles that are underrepresented in miniature. It also serves as a faithful testament to the golden age of American automobiles preceding World War II.
