#2425 - NEO Scale Models - Ford - Lincoln Mark VII LSC 1984

Reference NEO Scale Models ( China ) : 45500

Item with its box - of the "rigid plastic box" type (flat base and transparent lid)

Model status: 4.8

Description: The 1984 Lincoln Mark VII was designed as Ford's answer to European luxury coupes: a large coupe based on the Fox platform, with a finally aerodynamic silhouette. It introduced smooth composite headlight units to America, one of the first applications of the kind after the end of sealed beam headlight mandates—a real aesthetic and technical turning point. In its LSC variant, it hid the Mustang GT's 5.0-liter "High Output" V8 under its hood, received computer-controlled air suspension, and, among the first in the United States, ABS braking. It was this technical audacity, on a car long overlooked by miniature manufacturers, that attracted NEO Scale Models. The German brand, producing its resin in China, integrated it into its "American Excellence" range under reference 45500. The model is a "curbside": no opening parts, but fine engraving, careful chrome, reproduced composite headlights and amber turn signals, tinted windows, a detailed interior, and fine spoked chrome alloy wheels fitted with smooth tires. The resin casting is limited; on the road, the Mark VII gave way to the Mark VIII in 1993. The example offered is the black version, in new condition, complete and presented under its original display case: shiny paint, impeccable chrome, ready for display. A rare American coupe in miniature, not to be missed!
